Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 21 years of age to make a booking of any accommodation.

Deposit and Payment
A deposit of 15% on the total amount of your reservation is payable at the time of booking. The balance due 28 days prior to your arrival.

Management reserves the right to cancel booking if these terms are not met.

Changes to Bookings
If you want to change any details of your booking, you must contact our reservations 14 days prior to arrival date. We will do our best to assist you, but cannot guarantee that changes can be made.

No animals or pets are to be brought onto the premises.

The by-laws, rules and regulations of the complex and any reasonable direction of the Manager must be complied with. If a Guest fails to comply after a warning from the Manager the Guest must vacate the premises immediately.

Arrivals & Departures
Check-in is from 2.00 pm -2pm & check out is by 10.00 am. Requests outside these times may incur fees.

Late check in arrangements can be made with office prior to arrival. Please contact our office should you require late check in.

The Garland is a non-smoking building and we ask that you refrain from smoking in your room, on balconies and in or around the building. Evidence of smoking in apartments will incur a cleaning fee payable by the guest. Queensland Laws make it an offence to smoke in the Apartments and all Common Areas (Smoking and Smoking Products Act 1998. Sec 26R) This Rule is strictly enforced.

Requirements upon Check-in
You will be required to provide a credit card imprint at check-in to cover incidental charges (credit card must be valid and belong to the person who is registering).

The person registering at check-in must be at least 21 years of age.

In addition, to eliminate identity fraud, we will ask you to provide photo ID at check-in to ensure that your identity matches the booking identity. A record and/or copy of this photo ID may be retained to minimise the risk of fraudulent credit card usage and for verification purposes with your credit card provider in the event of disputation.

Please note that all Visa and Mastercard Credit payments will incur a surcharge.

Security Bond
A $1,000 security bond is required to be held for the duration of your stay. Keys will not be issued until the Security Bond has been taken, the Registration Form signed and the Tariff paid in full.

The Guest will be responsible for any damage, breakages and any loss incurred to the Apartment or Body Corporate Property during the term of the occupancy.

The Apartment must not be used for any unlawful purpose.

The Apartment must be kept clean and all garbage removed on departure otherwise it will attract an additional cleaning charge.

At no time during the occupancy by the Guest shall the number of persons residing overnight exceed the number of beds.

Guests must park their cars in the allocated car space. There is a Visitors car park available for your Visitors, please contact Reception for allocation.

Mid-Week Service
A mid-week service is provided for bookings of 8 nights or more

Bikes and Surfboards
No bikes or surf boards are permitted into the apartments, foyer or lift. All must be stored in the allocated car space.

The Garland does not accept 'Schoolies' bookings. We do not have the policies, procedures or resources to accommodate the unique needs of school leavers during the annual Schoolies Period. In particular, we do not have adequate resources to engage qualified security personnel to guarantee the safety, comfort and convenience of guests during this period. For this reason, we reserve the right to reject bookings from school and/or university leavers for the entire "schoolies" period.

No Party Policy
The Garland has a strict "No Party Policy", functions or weddings, and we would not recommend any guests booking a three bedroom apartment for a hens, bucks, birthday party or any other private event as you risk being fined and evicted.

Cancellation Policy
All bookings cancelled up to 28 days prior to arrival, the 15% deposit paid will be forfeited.
If cancelled within 28 days from arrival, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

In case of a no show without being notified, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Cancellation due to the circumstances related to the coronavirus will depend on several factors, including travel restrictions made by Federal or State Government, your destination, the date you made your booking, country of origin, arrival date, and reason for traveling.
If your cancellation falls under this category, The Garland will provide a refund less a $50 admin fee, offer a free date change, or credit you for a future stay.
We recommend all guests arrange travel insurance.
